Various intermediate support organizations have joined forces to establish the identity of Sejong City and develop the region. Various organizations, including the Sejong City Culture and Tourism Foundation, Sejong Techno Park, Sejong Creative Economy Innovation Center, and Sejong Cultural Center, have come together to form the ‘Sejong Regional Studies Council <Damoim>’. This council is promoted by the Education Support Division of Sejong Special Self-Governing City and the Sejong Regional Studies Center of the Daejeon Sejong Institute, and was formed to strengthen the network between intermediate support organizations and increase the efficiency of policy execution with the goal of regional studies research and activation.
The first meeting of ‘Damoim’ is scheduled to be held on August 21, 2024 at the Sejong Research Lab of the Daejeon Sejong Institute. Dr. Lee Jae-min of the Sejong Regional Studies Center said, “Starting with this meeting, we will think about establishing the identity of Sejong City and the future direction of development together and cooperate regularly.” The formation of this council is expected to be an important step toward promoting sustainable development of Sejong City through cooperation in various fields such as culture and arts, local startups, and balanced development.
