Incheon Jung-gu Woldi Scholarship Foundation announced on the 23rd that it will be publicly recruiting scholarship students for 2024. This recruitment is for the purpose of fostering talent in the Jung-gu area, and a total of 390 million won in scholarships will be provided to 140 students this year.

The scholarship students selected this time are ▲45 Worldy Scholarship students, ▲39 Haesong Scholarship students, ▲7 Dream Scholarship students, ▲25 families with many children, ▲12 multicultural families, ▲12 single-parent families, etc., and support will be provided in various fields and families. Applicants must be elementary, middle, high school, or college students whose parents have lived in Jung-gu, Incheon for more than one year prior to August 26, 2023. However, double benefits are limited.

The scholarship amount will be 2 million won per elementary, middle, and high school student, and 4 million won per college student. This year, the scope of support has been expanded to 140 students, which is 34 more than last year. In addition, the scholarship amount for elementary, middle, and high school students has been increased from 1 million won to 2 million won.

The scholarship association will accept applications from September 2 to 13, and applications can be made in person or by mail. After review by the scholarship selection committee, scholarships will be awarded before October 31. Application forms and further details will be posted on the Incheon Jung-gu website on August 26.

Kim Jeong-heon, the head of Jung-gu and chairman of the Worldy Scholarship Association, said, “Last year, due to high interest rates, the fund’s operating profit increased, allowing us to provide scholarships to more students.” He added, “I hope many people will show interest and apply for this scholarship so that Jung-gu’s talented individuals can achieve their dreams.”

Since its establishment in December 2010, the Worldy Scholarship Foundation has contributed to the development of local talent by providing scholarships worth approximately 2.7 billion won to approximately 1,800 local students since 2012.
