Illegal Advertisements Around Schools to Be Cleaned Up as Summer Semester Begins

Incheon Jung-gu (District Mayor Kim Jeong-heon) announced that it will conduct a ‘comprehensive cleanup of illegal advertisements around schools’ for approximately three weeks from August 26 to September 13 to coincide with the start of the summer semester.

This maintenance activity is designed to enable students to go to and from school in a more comfortable and safe environment, and is being carried out by organizing a special maintenance team. The maintenance target is the children’s protection zone within 300m of the main entrance of the elementary school and the educational environment protection zone within 200m of the school boundary, including old and defective signs and illegal floating advertisements (banners, signboards, wall posters, flyers, etc.).

In particular, illegal advertisements such as banners, billboards, air lights (balloon signs), and provocative harmful leaflets and business cards that obstruct traffic and pedestrians are the targets of intensive crackdowns. Through this maintenance activity, Jung-gu plans to create an environment where students can safely commute to school and take the lead in protecting the educational environment.
