Sejong Special Self-Governing City (Mayor Choi Min-ho) will conduct a 2024 social survey targeting 1,800 households from August 26 to September 11. This survey is an important social study that has been conducted annually since 2014, and measures the subjective satisfaction of Sejong citizens with their quality of life and social concerns, and uses this as basic data for policymaking and research.
The subjects of the survey are household members aged 13 or older from 1,800 households selected as a sample within the district, and during the survey period, the surveyor will visit the households in person and conduct the survey. The survey items consist of 56 questions in five categories: individuals, health, social welfare, safety, government and social participation, and it is expected to comprehensively collect citizens’ opinions on various social issues.
Seong Moon-hyun, the information and statistics officer, emphasized, “All responses will be used for statistical purposes only in accordance with Article 33 of the Statistics Act, and confidentiality will be strictly protected,” and asked, “Please check the investigator’s ID when the investigator visits and then cooperate with the investigation.”
This survey is expected to play an important role in helping Sejong City reflect citizens’ voices in policies and promote a deeper understanding of citizens’ quality of life and social concerns.
