Residents' Autonomy Council, 'Our Village Education Autonomy Council' Agreement with 5 Local Schools

Incheon City, Namdong-gu Nonhyeon 1 -dong Administrative Welfare Center and Resident Autonomy Council announced on the 28th that they signed an agreement with five schools in the area ( Incheon Nonhyeon Elementary School , Incheon Sorae Elementary School , Incheon Jangdo Elementary School , Incheon Nonhyeon Middle School , and Incheon Nonhyeon High School ) to form the ‘ Nonhyeon 1- dong Our Village Education Autonomy Council ‘ .

The signing ceremony was attended by approximately 30 people , including Shin Min-ho, the head of the Nonhyeon 1- dong Residents’ Autonomy Association , Yoo Geum-mi, the head of Nonhyeon 1- dong , Yoon Won-byeong, the principal of Incheon Nonhyeon Elementary School , Kwon Seong-o, the principal of Incheon Sorae Elementary School , Jeong Ju-ja, the principal of Incheon Jangdo Elementary School, Lee Seok-won, the principal of Incheon Nonhyeon Middle School , and Kwak Chi-gwang, the principal of Incheon Nonhyeon High School .

‘ Our Village Education Autonomy Council ‘ is an Incheon-style village education autonomy cooperative body in which the mayors, schools, and resident autonomy councils of each town, township, and dong area cooperate. It carries out governance activities at the neighborhood level to implement village-linked education curriculum, village schools, lifelong education, and social care through cooperation between the public , private , and academic sectors at the living area level .

Through the agreement, Nonhyeon 1- dong Residents’ Autonomy Association, the dong administrative welfare center , and participating educational institutions promised to build a mutually cooperative relationship to discover various village education issues .

Shin Min-ho, the chairman of the residents’ autonomous association, said, “ Through this agreement, we have taken the first step toward village education through cooperation between the public , private , and academic sectors ,” and added, “ We will do our best to create an educational environment for the residents of Nonhyeon 1- dong with our own hands . “

“ The local government, village , and school will cooperate with each other to support the development of the village and the education of the children, ” said Yu Geum-mi, the head of the village . “ The village is the place where children live, and we promise to actively support them so that they can learn through various experiences . ”
