잠언 9장 (Proverbs Chapter 9)
1 chokmot חָ֭כְמוֹת wisdom ban’ta בָּנְתָ֣ה has-built veitah בֵיתָ֑הּ her-house chatz’vah חָצְבָ֖ה she-has-hewn ammudeyha עַמּוּדֶ֣יהָ her-pillars shiv’ah שִׁבְעָֽה׃ seven
1Wisdom has built her house, she has hewn out her seven pillars:
1지혜가 그 집을 짓고 일곱 기둥을 다듬고
2 tav’chah טָבְחָ֣ה she-has-killed tivchah טִ֭בְחָהּ her-beasts mas’chah מָסְכָ֣ה she-has-mixed yeinah יֵינָ֑הּ her-wine af אַ֝֗ף also ar’chah עָרְכָ֥ה she-has-furnished shulchanah שֻׁלְחָנָֽהּ׃ her-table
2She has killed her beasts; she has mingled her wine; she has also furnished her table.
2짐승을 잡으며 포도주를 혼합하여 상을 갖추고
3 shal’chah שָֽׁלְחָ֣ה she-has-sent na’aroteyha נַעֲרֹתֶ֑יהָ her-maidens tiqra תִ֝קְרָ֗א she-cries al עַל־ upon gappei גַּ֝פֵּ֗י highest-places m’romei מְרֹ֣מֵי heights-of qaret קָֽרֶת׃ city
3She has sent forth her maidens: she cries on the highest places of the city,
3그 여종을 보내어 성중 높은 곳에서 불러 이르기를
4 mi מִי־ who feti פֶ֭תִי simple yasur יָסֻ֣ר let-turn heinnah הֵ֑נָּה here chasar חֲסַר־ lacking lev לֵ֝֗ב heart am’rah אָ֣מְרָה she-says lo לּֽוֹ׃ to-him
4Whoever is simple, let him turn in here: as for him who lacks understanding, she says to him,
4어리석은 자는 이리로 돌이키라 또 지혜 없는 자에게 이르기를
5 l’chu לְ֭כוּ come lachamu לַחֲמ֣וּ eat v’lachmi בְֽלַחֲמִ֑י of-my-bread u-sh’tu וּ֝שְׁת֗וּ and-drink b’yayin בְּיַ֣יִן of-wine masachti מָסָֽכְתִּי׃ I-have-mixed
5Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
5너는 와서 내 식물을 먹으며 내 혼합한 포도주를 마시고
6 izvu עִזְב֣וּ forsake f’tayim פְתָאיִ֣ם simple-ones vichyu וִֽחְי֑וּ and-live v’ishru וְ֝אִשְׁר֗וּ and-go b’derech בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ in-way-of binah בִּינָֽה׃ understanding
6Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
6어리석음을 버리고 생명을 얻으라 명철의 길을 행하라 하느니라
7 yoser יֹ֤סֵ֨ר׀ he-who-corrects letz לֵ֗ץ scorner loqeach לֹקֵ֣חַֽ gets lo ל֣וֹ to-himself qalon קָל֑וֹן shame u-mochiach וּמוֹכִ֖יחַ and-he-who-rebukes l’rasha לְרָשָׁ֣ע wicked-man mumo מוּמֽוֹ׃ his-blot
7He who reproves a scorner gets to himself shame: and he who rebukes a wicked man gets himself a blot.
7거만한 자를 징계하는 자는 도리어 능욕을 받고 악인을 책망하는 자는 도리어 흠을 잡히느니라
8 al אַל־ not tochach תּ֣וֹכַח reprove letz לֵ֭ץ scorner pen פֶּן־ lest yisna’eka יִשְׂנָאֶ֑ךָּ he-hate-you hochach הוֹכַ֥ח reprove l’chacham לְ֝חָכָ֗ם wise-man v’ye’ehaveka וְיֶאֱהָבֶֽךָּ׃ and-he-will-love-you
8Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate you: rebuke a wise man, and he will love you.
8거만한 자를 책망하지 말라 그가 너를 미워할까 두려우니라 지혜 있는 자를 책망하라 그가 너를 사랑하리라
9 ten תֵּ֣ן give l’chacham לְ֭חָכָם to-wise-man v’yechkam וְיֶחְכַּם־ and-he-will-be-wiser od ע֑וֹד still hoda הוֹדַ֥ע teach l’tzaddiq לְ֝צַדִּ֗יק righteous-man v’yosef וְי֣וֹסֶף and-he-will-increase leqach לֶֽקַח׃ learning
9Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
9지혜 있는 자에게 교훈을 더하라 그가 더욱 지혜로워질 것이요 의로운 사람을 가르치라 그의 학식이 더하리라
10 t’chillat תְּחִלַּ֣ת beginning-of chochmah חָ֭כְמָה wisdom yir’at יִרְאַ֣ת fear-of YHVH יְהוָ֑ה LORD v’da’at וְדַ֖עַת and-knowledge-of q’doshim קְדֹשִׁ֣ים Holy-One binah בִּינָֽה׃ understanding
10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
10여호와를 경외하는 것이 지혜의 근본이요 거룩하신 자를 아는 것이 명철이니라
11 ki כִּי־ for vi בִ֭י by-me yirbu יִרְבּ֣וּ shall-be-multiplied yamecha יָמֶ֑יךָ your-days v’yosifu וְ֝יוֹסִ֗יפוּ and-shall-be-increased l’cha לְּךָ֥ to-you sh’not שְׁנ֥וֹת years-of chayyim חַיִּֽים׃ life
11For by me your days shall be multiplied, and the years of your life shall be increased.
11나 지혜로 말미암아 네 날이 많아질 것이요 네 생명의 해가 더하리라
12 im אִם־ if chachamta חָ֭כַמְתָּ you-are-wise chachamta חָכַ֣מְתָּ you-are-wise lach לָּ֑ךְ for-yourself v’latsta וְ֝לַ֗צְתָּ and-if-you-scorn l’vadecha לְֽבַדְּךָ֥ alone tissa תִשָּֽׂא׃ shall-bear
12If you are wise, you shall be wise for yourself: but if you scorn, you alone shall bear it.
12네가 만일 지혜로우면 그 지혜가 네게 유익할 것이나 네가 만일 거만하면 너 홀로 해를 당하리라
13 eshet אֵ֣שֶׁת woman-of k’silut כְּ֭סִילוּת foolishness homiyyah הֹֽמִיָּ֑ה clamorous p’tayyut פְּ֝תַיּ֗וּת simple u-val וּבַל־ and-not yad’ah יָ֥דְעָה knows mah מָּֽה׃ what
13A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knows nothing.
13미련한 여인이 떠들며 어리석어서 아무것도 알지 못하고
14 v’yash’vah וְֽ֭יָשְׁבָה and-sits l’fetach לְפֶ֣תַח at-door-of beitah בֵּיתָ֑הּ her-house al עַל־ on kisse כִּ֝סֵּ֗א seat m’romei מְרֹ֣מֵי high-places-of qaret קָֽרֶת׃ city
14For she sits at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,
14자기 집 문에 앉으며 성읍 높은 곳에 있는 자리에 앉아서
15 liqro לִקְרֹ֥א to-call l’ov’rei לְעֹֽבְרֵי־ to-passers-by darech דָ֑רֶךְ way ham’yash’rim הַֽ֝מְיַשְּׁרִ֗ים who-go-right or’chotam אֹֽרְחוֹתָֽם׃ their-ways
15To call passengers who go right on their ways:
15지나가는 자들을 불러 자기 길을 바로 가는 자에게 이르되
16 mi מִי־ who feti פֶ֭תִי simple yasur יָסֻ֣ר let-turn heinnah הֵ֑נָּה here va-chasar וַחֲסַר־ and-lacking lev לֵ֝֗ב heart v’am’rah וְאָ֣מְרָה and-she-says lo לּֽוֹ׃ to-him
16Whoever is simple, let him turn in here: and as for him who lacks understanding, she says to him,
16어리석은 자는 이리로 돌이키라 또 지혜 없는 자에게 이르기를
17 mayim מַֽיִם־ waters g’nuvim גְּנוּבִ֥ים stolen yimtaqu יִמְתָּ֑קוּ are-sweet v’lechem וְלֶ֖חֶם and-bread s’tarim סְתָרִ֣ים of-secrecy yin’am יִנְעָֽם׃ is-pleasant
17Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
17도둑질한 물이 달고 몰래 먹는 떡이 맛이 있다 하는도다
18 v’lo וְֽלֹא־ and-not yada יָ֭דַע he-knows ki כִּֽי־ that r’fa’im רְפָאִ֣ים dead sham שָׁ֑ם there b’imqei בְּעִמְקֵ֖י in-depths-of sh’ol שְׁא֣וֹל Sheol q’ru’eyha קְרֻאֶֽיהָ׃ her-invited-ones
18But he knows not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
18오직 그 어리석은 자는 죽은 자들이 거기 있는 것과 그의 객들이 스올 깊은 곳에 있는 것을 알지 못하느니라
