The “Gyeonggi Safe Lease Project” is a project that carries out a “Safe Lease Roadmap Guard Movement” and operates a “Safe Lease Management Team” through voluntary and social cooperation among certified real estate agents.

The ‘Safe Lease Protection Movement’ is a voluntary social movement in which real estate agents create and participate in implementing practical tasks to prevent lease damage in order to create a real estate transaction environment that is trusted by citizens.

Real estate agents participating in the Safe Lease Protection Movement must carry out specific implementation tasks, including ▲disclosing the registration status and photos of real estate agent employees at real estate agent offices, ▲creating an environment where electronic contracts can be signed with clear identification, ▲providing a 32-item ‘Safe Lease Checklist’ to prevent lease damage, and ▲notifying tenants of any changes to the real estate registry within one week of signing the contract.

Hanam City plans to distribute ‘Safety Lease Guardian’ stickers to real estate agents who participate in the Safe Lease Road Guardian movement so that citizens can check and use them.

In addition, Hanam City operates a ‘Safe Lease Management Team’ comprised of Gyeonggi Province and Hanam City officials and members of the Korea Association of Certified Real Estate Brokers to respond to illegal activities such as lease fraud.

The ‘Safe Lease Management Team’ appointed on this day plans to encourage certified real estate agents to participate in the ‘Safe Lease Roadmap Guard Movement’ and to continuously monitor whether certified real estate offices designated as ‘Safe Lease Guardians’ are carrying out their practical tasks.

Mayor Lee Hyeon-jae emphasized, “We have launched the Gyeonggi Safe Lease Project in order to eradicate illegal activities in the real estate sector, such as preventing lease fraud,” and “Hanam City will actively work to create a safe and trustworthy lease contract environment through mutual cooperation between the public and private sectors.”

Meanwhile, the list of certified real estate agencies designated as ‘Safe Lease Guardians’ can be checked from September 6 on the Gyeonggi Real Estate Portal website (gris.gg.go.kr) or by scanning the QR code on the sticker attached to participating businesses.
