The Permanent Exhibition of Donated Collections at the Ulsan Arts Center will run from February 5 to February 22, offering visitors access throughout the Lunar New Year holiday. Marking the first exhibition of 2026 at the venue, the Permanent Exhibition of Donated Collections presents 88 carefully selected visual art works, including paintings, sculpture, calligraphy, and photography. All displayed works were donated by artists who participated in invitation exhibitions or were selected through the Arts Center’s annual “Artist of the Year” solo exhibition program. Through voluntary donations, these artists have contributed to the creation of a shared cultural legacy, transforming individual artistic achievements into public cultural assets.
More than a conventional exhibition, the Permanent Exhibition of Donated Collections places particular emphasis on the spirit of artistic sharing and public contribution. Each piece embodies the unique life experiences, creative journeys, and historical contexts of its creator. Together, the works form a visual archive that documents the cultural, social, and artistic evolution of the Ulsan region.
The exhibition is designed to be easily accessible to all audiences. Viewing hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with no scheduled closing days during the exhibition period. On Lunar New Year’s Day, the exhibition will open at 2:00 p.m., ensuring uninterrupted access for holiday visitors. The venue is the First, Second, and Permanent Exhibition Halls of the Ulsan Arts Center.

An official from the Ulsan Arts Center stated that the exhibition aims to provide visitors with an opportunity to explore the depth and continuity of local cultural heritage through the Center’s permanent collection. The official added that the exhibition invites families and visitors to spend the holiday period engaging with meaningful works of art and reflecting on the enduring value of artistic contribution.
Through this Permanent Exhibition of Donated Collections, the Ulsan Arts Center seeks to reinforce its role as a public cultural institution while continuing to share the artistic identity and values of the region with a broader audience. Additional information about the exhibition is available on the Ulsan Arts Center’s official website, and inquiries may also be directed to the Exhibition and Education Team.
By remaining open throughout the holiday season, the exhibition underscores the idea that art is an essential part of everyday life. The Permanent Exhibition of Donated Collections is expected to serve as a lasting platform for cultural dialogue, connecting artists, citizens, and visitors through a shared appreciation of visual art.
