The city of Incheon is launching a call for nominations for the 21st Logistics Development Awards to identify individuals who have contributed to the growth of the region’s logistics industry. Applications will be accepted from September 14 to October 16.

Incheon Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Chan-dae) announced that it will hold a call for nominations for the 21st Logistics Development Awards from September 14 to October 16, in an effort to boost the pride of local logistics workers and strengthen global logistics competitiveness.
Now in its 21st year, the Logistics Development Awards is a recognition program designed to identify and encourage those who have contributed to the advancement of the region’s logistics industry. Home to both a seaport and an airport, Incheon has long served as a gateway for domestic logistics, and through this program the city has highlighted the dedication of workers who have quietly toiled on the industry’s front lines.
This year’s competition is divided into a corporate category and an individual/group category. In each category, two main awards and two special awards will be given, for a total of four honorees.
Nominations may be submitted by heads of logistics-related institutions, organizations and companies, as well as by county mayors (gunsu) and district office chiefs (gucheongjang), while individuals who have rendered meritorious service may also apply directly through a self-nomination process. The city plans to finalize the recipients after fair and thorough deliberation by a review committee composed of experts. The awards ceremony will be held at the 2026 Incheon Metropolitan City Logistics Day event, scheduled for this coming November.
Choi Mi-na, head of the city’s Logistics Policy Division, said, ‘We hope that companies and individuals who have devoted themselves to strengthening and advancing the logistics industry — a core driver of the local economy — will be actively identified and nominated,’ adding, ‘We will provide strong support so that those who have contributed to the industry’s growth become widely known and can take fitting pride in their efforts.’
This call for nominations is significant in that it offers a channel through which logistics workers and companies who have worked diligently in the field can gain official recognition for their contributions.
