Guro District (District Mayor Jang In-hong) is running a ‘4th Industrial Revolution Program’ for Dream Start children, holding eight sessions in total from July 9 through August 27.
Dream Start is a child welfare program that provides tailored, integrated services through case management to vulnerable children aged 0 to 12 and their families, supporting healthy growth and development and ensuring equal opportunity from the start.
This is the second time the program has been run, following last year, and it is being conducted in conjunction with the Creative Convergence Education Center inside the Guro Creative Culture and Arts Center.
This year in particular, reflecting the high satisfaction of children who took part last year, the program’s content has been made even more diverse. It is designed to help children encounter 4th industrial revolution technology in an easy and fun way, deepen their understanding of future technologies, and explore career paths.

Participating children will use various digital devices, including 3D pens and tablets, to create their own works, naturally building digital literacy and creativity along the way.
Guro District Mayor Jang In-hong said, “I hope this program gives children a chance to experience future technologies in an easy and enjoyable way while building their creativity and problem-solving skills,” adding, “We will continue to actively support all children in growing their dreams and potential through a variety of hands-on, experience-based education.”
