She has held 21 solo and invitational exhibitions and has participated in more than 250 art fairs, group exhibitions, and international exhibitions in countries including Germany, the United States, France, Italy, China, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand, introducing the formative beauty and contemporary sensibility of Korean ceramics to the global stage.

These activities reflect Seol’s artistic direction, which combines the material depth of traditional ceramics with the formative language of contemporary art.

Her award history is also noteworthy. In 2022, Seol received the Grand Prize at the World Peace Art Contest, along with the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award. In 2023, she received the Grand Prize at the International Art Contest for Land, Ocean, and Environment, as well as the National Assembly Speaker’s Award. Grounded in the essence of traditional ceramics while incorporating contemporary sensibility and an international perspective, Sook Young Seol’s work presents both the present and future potential of Korean craft art. Her artistic world is expected to continue drawing attention as an important force in expanding the boundaries between Korean ceramics and contemporary art.
