One-on-one business matching consultations, an IR capacity-building program, product exhibitions and export support consulting, and more
Applications for participating companies are open until August 12, and are accepted online through channels including the Seoul Business Agency website
Guro-gu (Mayor Jang In-hong), together with the Seoul Business Agency, Geumcheon-gu and the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, will host the ‘2026 Global Business Meeting’ with invited overseas buyers for two days, from October 13 to 14.
The event has been organized to help small and medium-sized enterprises that are struggling to open new sales channels advance into overseas markets, and it aims to invigorate the local economy by strengthening the competitiveness of these companies.
This year, the event has been expanded from its previous focus on export consultations into a comprehensive program supporting companies’ overseas expansion, with the addition of functions for attracting foreign investment and for corporate showcases. In addition, the event, which last year was held twice a year in separate sessions, has been consolidated into a single event beginning this year to enhance its focus. It will take place at COEX Magok in Gangseo-gu on October 13, and at the Four Points by Sheraton in Guro-gu on October 14.
Eligible participants are 140 small and medium-sized enterprises based in G Valley (Guro and Geumcheon) or elsewhere in Seoul that operate in the fields of AI·AX, IT·electrical and electronics, and bio·medical devices. Fifty leading overseas buyers from North America, China, Japan and other regions will take part in the event and hold one-on-one business consultations with individual companies.
Participating companies will receive support in establishing customized overseas expansion strategies through advance matching with overseas buyers and individual consulting, as well as assistance with IR material assessments, product exhibitions, export support consulting covering customs clearance, tariffs, logistics and intellectual property rights, and the production of English-language company brochures.
Companies wishing to take part may apply by August 12 through the Seoul Business Agency website (www.sba.seoul.kr) or CatchSecu Online (https://app.catchsecu.com/url/bad73f84e4b4bc9).
Further details are available in the news section of the Guro-gu Office website, or by contacting the Local Economy Division at 02-860-2856.
Guro-gu Mayor Jang In-hong said, “I hope this export consultation event will provide practical assistance to companies with outstanding technological capabilities and competitiveness as they enter overseas markets,” adding, “We look forward to strong interest from small and medium-sized enterprises wishing to participate.”
Meanwhile, the district held two export consultation events with invited overseas buyers last year, supporting business consultations between 57 overseas buyers and 137 domestic companies. It also achieved results in broadening the foundation for overseas market entry, including the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Indian company Summit Trading for export and local distribution cooperation.
