A warm gesture of goodwill has once again reached children from low-income single-parent families in Yeongjong-gu District.

Yeongjong-gu District (Mayor Son Hwa-jeong) in Incheon announced on Aug. 25 that it had received a total of 10.04 million won in donations to help stabilize the lives of vulnerable children and single-parent families in the district.
The donation was made up of 5.04 million won from the YouTube channel "Wiheomhan Buddongsan" (Dangerous Real Estate) and 5 million won from the private company Ajeongdang (CEO Kim Min-gi).
The donation was made to help single-parent families, who bear the dual burden of earning a living and raising children, maintain stable lives, and to support the self-reliance of vulnerable groups who fall through the cracks of the welfare system.
The funds raised will be channeled through the Incheon Community Chest of Korea to support children from economically struggling families in the district, helping them grow up in a more stable environment. The donation is expected to provide practical help in easing the child-rearing burden on single-parent families and building a foundation for self-reliance.
The donation ceremony was held on the morning of Aug. 24 in the district mayor's office at Yeongjong-gu District Office, attended by Mayor Son Hwa-jeong and the donors.
The donors said, "We hope this will help children keep hope and grow up brightly even amid economic hardship," adding, "We will continue to look after neighbors in need and carry out activities that put sharing into practice in the community."
Mayor Son Hwa-jeong said, "I deeply thank the donors who came together with warm hearts for their neighbors during these difficult times," and added, "We will use these precious donations transparently and meaningfully so that children from single-parent families who desperately need help can hold onto hope and become self-reliant."
