Lee Won-ju, director of the city’s Urban Planning Bureau, explained, ‘The Incheon housing market in July showed a stabilizing decline in sale and jeonse prices, but monthly rent prices are showing a pattern of accelerating increases centered on some areas such as Seohae-gu, Bupyeong-gu, and Namdong-gu.’

The trend of rising monthly rent burdens amid stable sale and jeonse prices is closely tied to residents’ daily lives, as it directly affects the housing costs of end-users who struggle to find jeonse homes and of tenant households.
