The Incheon Metropolitan Government announced on the 28th that it will sponsor the 2026 10th Incheon Furniture Fair to help local small and mid-sized furniture makers and distributors expand their markets and strengthen their competitiveness. Marking its 10th anniversary this year, the fair will be held for four days, from Thursday, Sept. 3, through Sunday, Sept. 6, at Songdo Convensia.
The event has been organized in step with a consumer trend in which growing demand for ‘home styling’ — harmonizing the overall mood of a home rather than simply replacing furniture — coincides with the apartment move-in season and the autumn moving period. The exhibition floor will present a wide range of space-tailored furniture that combines both practicality and design.
The items on display span a broad spectrum, from move-in and wedding furniture tailored to various apartment sizes to compact furniture for one- and two-person households, as well as eco-friendly solid-wood and premium lines. A key feature is that everyone from general visitors weighing a change of home atmosphere for the fall to couples preparing for a move-in or marriage can compare products suited to their own lifestyle all in one place.
Visitors can not only compare and experience products from various brands firsthand on site, but also confirm materials and product characteristics through one-on-one consultations with furniture experts, checking after-sales service (A/S) and custom delivery schedules all at once. This serves as a mechanism that helps consumers make reasonable choices by confirming the information they need before purchase in a single stop.
Participating companies plan to establish a sound distribution order based on transparent pricing policies and quality control, and to build a worry-free shopping environment that prevents consumer disputes. The city said it plans to continue supporting local small and mid-sized furniture firms — including through this fair — so they can broaden their markets and strengthen their brand competitiveness.
Nam Young-hee, Incheon’s Vice Mayor for Balanced Development, said, ‘I hope this fair becomes a venue for real market development for local furniture companies, and a meaningful occasion for citizens to encounter high-quality furniture on reasonable terms.’
Meanwhile, admission to the 2026 10th Incheon Furniture Fair is free with advance registration on the official website (https://icnff.com). For details about the event, contact the fair secretariat at 032-425-6060.
