The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority will launch MEDIA LOUNGE, a nighttime video program that makes use of the space beneath the Cheongna Sky Bridge (Cheongna Haneul Bridge), starting Sept. 8. With no separate viewing area, visitors can take in the footage that unfolds under the bridge as they stroll along the sea, adding a fresh attraction to evening walks now that the autumn air has turned cooler.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) will unveil MEDIA LOUNGE, a nighttime video program that uses the underside of the Cheongna Sky Bridge, beginning Sept. 8.
Media Lounge turns the broad space beneath the bridge deck into a single large screen. Once the sun sets, the sea and the bridge become the backdrop and footage plays across it, creating a nighttime scene unlike anything seen during the day. A distinctive feature is that it is designed so visitors can enjoy the surrounding scenery and the footage together.
The first screening theme is ‘The Four Seasons.’ From the brightness of spring and the freshness of summer to the deep tones of autumn and the stillness of winter, the changing scenery and moods of each season are woven into a single film, letting viewers encounter all four seasons in turn as they linger.
The footage is shown four times a day between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. However, as autumn deepens and the sun sets earlier, the screening times will be adjusted accordingly. Operating hours and frequency will be managed flexibly depending on the weather and turnout, and once the cold sets in, the authority plans to decide whether to continue based on temperature and weather conditions.
The program offers strong accessibility in that visitors need not seek out a dedicated viewing area. Because people can naturally come upon the footage beneath the bridge while walking along the sea, they can take in the blend of sea and sky by day and the light and imagery by night, experiencing another side of the Cheongna Sky Bridge. Its significance for residents lies in making cultural content available along an ordinary walking route, without any special travel or preparation to view it.
Going forward, IFEZ plans to add content that captures seasonal changes and local character, developing the nighttime scenery of the Cheongna Sky Bridge into a lasting attraction.
Cho In-kwon, acting head of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (deputy director), said, ‘We have prepared content that lets people pause for a moment and enjoy it as they walk across the Cheongna Sky Bridge on a cool autumn evening,’ adding, ‘I hope this new nighttime scene, where the sea, the bridge and the footage come together, becomes an occasion for citizens to remember the nights of the Cheongna Sky Bridge as something special.’
