40 overseas buyers and 60 companies from G Valley and Seoul to take part, with support for overseas market entry and new sales channels

Guro-gu (Mayor Jang In-hong) will host the ‘STEP 2026 Global Business Consultation Meeting’ on the 14th at Four Points by Sheraton Seoul Guro.

The consultation meeting is intended to help small and medium-sized enterprises in G Valley that are struggling to find new sales channels enter overseas markets and become more competitive. It will connect overseas purchasing companies with domestic companies for consultations tailored to each company’s needs, and will offer a range of programs supporting overseas expansion and investment attraction.

The event will bring together 40 overseas buyers from 18 countries, including Vietnam, Indonesia and Japan, and 60 companies from G Valley and Seoul.

The main consultation fields are: △ artificial intelligence (AI) and AI transformation (AX); △ information and communications technology (ICT) and electrical and electronics; △ software (SW), security and cloud; and △ digital health and medical care (healthcare). One-on-one consultations will be arranged based on a pre-event survey of the needs of participating companies and overseas buyers, so that each session is tailored to its participants.

The district will also run a ‘Global Growth Challenge’ in partnership with investment institutions. The program will provide training on overseas market entry strategies, market and competitor analysis, and how to respond to purchasing companies. It will also help companies build their capacity for overseas expansion and investment attraction through reviews of their investor relations materials (IR decks) and investment consultations.

In addition, an ‘Investment and Technology IR’ program will give participating companies the opportunity to present their businesses and technologies to investors and seek investment. Export specialists will provide consultations on matters required in the export process, such as customs clearance, tariffs, logistics and intellectual property rights, and a space will be set up for exhibiting and demonstrating outstanding products.

After the event, the district will manage outcomes from November through December and plans to provide support including additional consultations, interpretation and translation services, overseas shipping of product samples, responses to purchase proposals from overseas buyers, and follow-up contracts.

Guro-gu Mayor Jang In-hong said, “I hope that companies preparing to enter overseas markets will be able to meet local buyers in person, open up new sales channels, and find opportunities for growth.” He added, “We will continue to create a variety of opportunities to strengthen the competitiveness of G Valley companies and support their entry into overseas markets.”
